Prevention is indeed better than cure

Falling ill or hurting yourself is easy (even though no illness is deliberately planned or asked for), but the recovery process seems to be more demanding and more painful than the event itself.

You may drink and smoke often and after a point experience respiratory distress which is deadly; the effort now required in recovering is probably more than the effort required to keep yourself safe and healthy. Maybe that is why it is said, prevention is better than cure.

Prioritizing our own safety and health should always be on our mind as the healing process although a eye opening experience, it can be painful and recovery may never be attained, if the process isn’t proper or the required medical advice isn’t there.

Healing is often more painful than the injury or illness itself.Falling ill or getting hurt can happen suddenly and without warning. While no one deliberately chooses pain, the actual process of recovery demands far more from us—physically, mentally, and emotionally—than the event that caused the damage in the first place.

Growing health is an arduous and lengthy process, and the steps we take to become healthy often involve challenging choices—like eating well, exercising regularly, and managing our thoughts and emotions. Prioritizing our health and safety shouldn’t be an afterthought; it must be a daily commitment. While healing can be a profound and eye-opening experience, it often comes with pain, uncertainty, and setbacks. Without the right guidance or medical care, full recovery may remain out of reach.

In the end, it’s a reminder that the real strength lies not only in bouncing back—but in making the choices that prevent the fall in the first place.
